Jasmin + Tom / Petone Wedding]]>https://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Jasmin-Tom-Petone-Weddinghttps://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Jasmin-Tom-Petone-WeddingFri, 23 Mar 2018 02:44:42 +0000
Jasmin and Toms wedding day was a lovely affair with close family and friends coming from far and wide. These guys were such a bunch of characters, we had a blast doing their bridal party photos!
Jasmin and Tom had a first look before the wedding - it suited their day so well and meant they could enjoy being with family and friends after the Ceremony rather than going off for an hour or so to have photos taken. They even got the family down to the Petone foreshore and we did the family photos beforehand too!! So it was all relaxation from there on out (after the typical pre-ceremony nerves of course).

Michaela + Ryan / Taureka Estate]]>https://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Michaela-Ryan-Taureka-Estatehttps://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Michaela-Ryan-Taureka-EstateFri, 23 Mar 2018 02:42:53 +0000
Taureka Estate is such a beautiful spot for a wedding. And it’s surprisingly close to Wellington – just over the hill and you’re there!
Michaela and Ryan are such down-to-earth characters, we had great fun with them and theirs on their gorgeous day. It was one of those super hot Wairarapa days, you could almost see the steam rising off the ground – the wedding was outside with no shade but Michaela had thought ahead and there were plenty of shade umbrellas for those who wanted them.
Cars and motorbikes were a big feature and so we made the most of them! And their first dance to quite a different wedding song words brought a giggle to everyone and their beautiful dancing brought tears to Mums eye.

Anna + Logan / Wanganui]]>https://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Anna-Logan-Wanganuihttps://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Anna-Logan-WanganuiFri, 23 Mar 2018 02:40:51 +0000
Anna and Logan - these guys showed us the absolute best of Wanganui. A beautiful backyard wedding overlooking the Whanganui River and then reception at a truly styley venue right in the heart of Wanganui.
Their whole wedding day was full of beautiful things and gorgeous people. But what really stuck with me (even writing this blog many months after the big day) were the speeches. So filled with love and laughter (soooo much laughter!) – these two people are truly loved by family and friends!! We left this wedding filled with warm fuzzies for this lovely couple.

Horiana + Noah / scorching bay wedding]]>https://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Horiana-Noah-scorching-bay-weddinghttps://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Horiana-Noah-scorching-bay-weddingFri, 23 Mar 2018 02:32:11 +0000
A wild, windy Wellington day and a flat tyre (making the bride an hour late!) couldn’t dampen these lovebirds spirits. Their Scorching Bay beach wedding was a real family affair with a very entertaining celebrant. Not to mention the CUTEST dog!! Bulldogs are my all-time fave. Loved that he joined them for their big day, complete with bowtie, aww bow-wow!!
The reception was held at The Boatshed with beautiful views over Wellington Harbour. The family catered, bringing in, amongst other things, crayfish from the Chatham Islands – whoa they were huge. And delicious!! Speeches, hakas and waiatas made for a really special evening, Horiana and Noah your wedding day was amazing!!

Renee + Luke / Silverstream Retreat]]>https://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Renee-Luke-Silverstream-Retreathttps://www.photographybykirsten.co.nz/single-post/2018/03/23/Renee-Luke-Silverstream-RetreatFri, 23 Mar 2018 02:27:55 +0000
These guys had a beautiful summer wedding at Silverstream Retreat. Silverstream has its own accommodation which can make for a lovely, relaxed wedding day, In this case both bride and groom got ready at Silverstream, with their close family and friends coming and going between the two.
No wedding is without its little hiccups, but these guys rose above the stress levels as they realised the wedding dress had been left in Porirua (a quick drive back for Mum!), Renee’s oldest boy was feverish with the flu (but he managed to be part of the ceremony, and made through a good part of reception – I think the Mr Whippy van helped!) And the girls realised the rings had been left back in the cottage just as they were about to walk down the aisle! (luckily the cottage was a 2 minute walk away).
A big portion of Luke’s whanau made the trip down from Northland and were a big component of the bridal party making for a really special day. In all a gorgeous wedding day for a gorgeous couple.
